POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for guiding profitability growth by providing analytical support for key business decisions. This position has a high level of interaction across all functional areas of the organization and therefore requires excellent communication skills as well as a solid understanding of the consumer packaged goods manufacturing business, preferably industry-focused some wine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Annual Budget – assist in compiling the company-wide annual budget; interact closely with department heads to ensure accurate and timely budget submissions
  • Capital Management – preparing, maintaining and reviewing long-term cash management forecasts; maintain detailed debt and equity reports; and assist with capital expenditure planning and analysis
  • Financial forecasts – contribute to the development and maintenance of rolling financial statement forecasts, including ratio analysis
  • Financial reports – prepare monthly analysis of variances in financial statements and recommend adjusting entries; distribute and review monthly budget variance reports with department heads; compiling periodic financial reporting requirements by credit institutions
  • Sales and Marketing Analytics – work closely with members of the Sales and Marketing team to redevelop the pricing process and assist in periodic performance review according to plan; maintain gross margin analysis at brand level
  • ERP implementation – expand reporting capabilities and increase process efficiency by actively participating in ERP implementation as a key member of the finance team
  • Annual audit – provide reporting and reconciliation support during the annual audit performed by the CPA firm

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into relevant and concise conclusions for senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Autonomous able to build analysis from ambiguous information with great attention to detail
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office required, especially Outlook, Excel and Access

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance Minimum
  • 4+ years of experience in a financial, accounting or analyst role, preferably in the wine industry
  • Experience in financial statement analysis, financial budgeting and forecast modeling
  • Experience with AMS and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred
