Junior Financial Analyst Job in Project Management at DCS Corp

We are currently looking for a Prog/Proj/Mgmt Analyst, Journeyman to support our client Patuxent River, MD.

Essential duties of the position:

The position applies analytical techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes needs, status, budget and timelines.

Work independently and as part of a larger team, assisting other program and project managers with budget management.

Performs management, technical or commercial analyses.

Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data related to project acquisition and product programs.

Tracks program/project status and schedules.

Applies government instituted processes for preparation of documentation for PID and PMT numbers, change control management and data management.

Our client team’s level of effort needs to increase dramatically and we need to be prepared to support multiple simultaneous integrations across a large number of platforms.

The candidate we seek understands financial budget management, appropriation constraints and fund obligations/expenditure tracking.

The candidate should also have a working knowledge of Navy ERP and CSPT tools.

The functional description of the opportunity includes:

  • Performs quantitative analysis. Constructs and manipulates spreadsheets. Provides financial and/or accounting support to the activity.
  • Assists program/project staff with financial tracking, expenditure plans, budget formulation, budget execution, financial data calls, and overall financial support for multiple votes.
  • Review and reconcile Common Expenditure Plan Tool (CSPT) data.

Required Skills :

Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, US citizenship is required. A secret security clearance is required.

High school diploma or GED plus 10 years of experience, Associate’s degree plus 7 years or Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience is required.

Current secret authorization.

At least 4 years of experience in the discipline of program management, technical or business analysis; and included in the 4 years, there must be 2 years of work experience in technical endeavors supporting the development of major weapon systems and components.

Desired skills:

Experience in handling program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military programs is preferred. Demonstrated experience in program/project status and schedules is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy is preferred.
