Rich brings over 30 years of investment and commercial banking experience, having first launched his profession at Lancaster Pollard. Throughout his career, Rich has dedicated his work to education and built one of the nation’s leading charter school investment banking practices. He most recently served as Head of Public Finance at BB&T Capital Markets/Truist Securities. Rich received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Denison University and a JD degree from Capital University Faculty of Law. Rich is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Robert (Rob) Nickel joins Sims as executive vice president, further developing the practice of public finance education. Rob began his career in investment banking as an analyst at Wells Fargo over 20 years ago. Since then, he has been a major driving force in partnering with Rich to develop one of the preeminent charter school practices nationwide. Rob received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University and his MBA from The University of Texas. Situated at Dallas, TXRob is also actively working on the West Coast.
