Fort Collins and Boulder Named Top Emerging Real Estate Markets – BizWest

NEW YORK — Boulder and Fort Collins each secured top 10 positions in The Wall Street Journal and Realtor.com’s Spring 2022 Emerging Markets Housing Index.

“The index analyzes key housing market data, along with measures of economic vitality and lifestyle, to surface emerging real estate markets that offer a high quality of life and are expected to see future property price appreciation. dwellings,” the index report reads.

Boulder was sixth on the list and Fort Collins eighth.

“The Spring Index highlights strong local economies with a mix of private industry, health care, higher education, and the presence of government facilities and institutions,” the report said. “These factors translate into a growing real estate market aimed at attracting and retaining entrepreneurs, professionals and families. Many of the major emerging markets have a notable share of small businesses that complement a thriving ecosystem of regional, national and international businesses.

Rapid City, South Dakota was first on the list and no other Colorado city appears in the top 20.
