FOOD Week Night Markets will be the first course of the 10-day Orange festival | West Central Daily

news, local news,

The clock is ticking until the FOOD Week Night Markets start at 5.30pm on Friday. For over 30 years, the annual FOOD Week has grown to be Australia’s longest running food festival. This year, it offers six flagship events complemented by more than 70 satellite events. For 10 days, from April 1 to 10, it showcases the varied and quality gastronomy and wines of the region. The annual food festival begins every year with the Robertson Park Night Markets, but due to COVID Friday’s event was the first time it’s been held since 2019. The long Sampson Street lunch will take place at noon on Saturday. On Sunday, Swinging Bridge Wines will host an artist from the Orange Chamber Music Festival at Live In The Vines at 4 p.m. Sunday at 6 p.m., Philip Shaw Wines will host the Mark Best Dinner, which he will serve with local chef Richard Learmonth. Fodder is one of the most popular businesses every year and often sells out within hours or even minutes. This year, it will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 9. FOOD Week will end with the Sunday Farmers Market and Brunch at Cook Park on April 10. To purchase tickets and view the full programme, visit https://orangefoodweek.com.au/.
