Financial analyst job vacancy at HP

Development company Hewlett-Packard has invited applications for the position of Financial Analyst – Revenue Recognition.

Responsibilities:

• Transaction reviews to provide complex accounting advice
• Accounting review of emerging business models
• Thorough knowledge of systems and processes related to HP business (order management, order coding, transit times, organization of solution partners (distribution contracts).
• Provide ongoing support and training to finance teams to enable them to be self-sufficient in their understanding of policies and processes.
• Influence and communicate HP policy updates to the wider community on a quarterly basis.
• Support ad-hoc initiatives, such as supporting acquired enterprise policy integrations.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in design

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate university degree with a specialization in business or economics; Graduate degree or accounting certification (eg CPA, CA or MBA) preferred.
• Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
• Generally experienced in more than one finance function.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent business application skills (eg Microsoft Excel, Power Point presentations).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Superior teamwork skills
• Strong business acumen.
• Good project management skills.
