DUTIES: Assist with monthly financial close and related aspects of reporting including financial statements, profit/margin analysis, expense review and ad hoc analysis as required. Lead the annual budget planning process, as well as consolidate and analyze corresponding forecasts, reporting schedules and presentations. Perform daily cost accounting tasks to ensure accurate entry of materials, labor and overhead into product structures. Monitor system usage related to inventory, work in progress and spent items. Develop and monitor overhead rates. Prepare strategic and business analysis, follow up on key metrics and provide support for the decision-making process. Oversee and maintain all aspects of the payroll department for weekly payroll processing including 401k, banking transactions, workers compensation and other items as required. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external resources to ensure business needs are met and aligned with long-term goals. Seek and support continuous improvement and increased efficiency by leveraging technology and eliminating unnecessary reporting and processes. Demonstrate above average understanding of working capital management to influence areas for improvement. Demonstrate above average understanding of processes and controls within finance and related support systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Manufacturing experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or 10 years of experience in accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze financial data and interpret accounting or financial documents.
